Paula Chaffee Scardamalia, dream consultant for PEOPLE ® Country Magazine, is a book and creativity coach, and dream and tarot intuitive. Since 1999, Paula has taught writers how to use intuitive tools like dreams and the tarot to tap into their creative flow.

Paula has taught at both small private workshops and large national conferences such as those produced by the Romance Writers of America plus, she leads intimate writing and creativity retreats both in the US and abroad.

Big Why

For Paula, entrepreneurship has always been about creative freedom, the ability to express who she is and what she does and to help others find and embrace their own creative freedom as well.

Mindset Challenge

For women in the creative field, it’s often the hesitation to ‘create it big’ that holds them back from their bigger vision and it was no different for Paula. She describes what happened when she stepped into the lobby at a women’s entrepreneurial event that suddenly changed her entire outlook as well as her entrepreneurial path.

Energy Plan

Paula watches the amount of carbs and fat she ingests, along with the occasional (homemade!) treat. She is also careful to get enough sleep.

After a big push, she pays even more attention to her nutrition and allows herself to take a day or so to just ‘take off’ to read, to daydream and to garden.

Business Fun

Paula has huge amounts of fun with her young grandson. Plus, she’s working on her novel. She loves to take rides with her husband Bob in their MG Roadster. Paula is also planning a business retreat to Greece in 2015.

Business Vision

Annual worldwide retreats are in the works for Paula, plus local retreats in the Catskills will continue to be part of Paula’s vision. She’s also continuing to speak and present as well. Of course, she will continue to act as a Dream Consultant for PEOPLE® Country Magazine.

~ Other Cool Resources

Paula loves ‘New Age’ music and David Arkenstone is one of her favorite composers and performers. She also uses Tarot cards. The Legacy of the Divine Tarot from Ciro Marchetti is one of her favorite decks. A good book for beginners is Racheal Pollock’s Seventy-Eight Degrees of Wisdom and others are all excellent. You can also watch Paula’s Tarot videos on YouTube.

~ Confident Calm Technique

The Tarot Deck is a constant companion for Paula. She will often shuffle her deck, then simply pull a card and ask herself, “What do I need to know about this?” This helps her to get centered and be aware.
